For months, I've had a camera on my wish list. I even saved cash in an envelope. But then we moved, and I think the new refrigerator ate it. Or maybe it was those buckets of paint and flowers for the front porch. It's tough to pin down the culprit, but I have my suspicions. I love taking pictures and documenting moments in time. What I disliked about my (broken) digital camera was the delay. I have lots of pictures of the backs of children's heads. Or no kids at all, when they completely walked out of frame. All I want is to snap, snap, snap and produce clear, quality images. And I wonder if a fancy schmanzy (translate: expensive) camera is the answer.
In the meantime, I've resorted to taking photos on my phone. It's an okay alternative, until you're trying to capture this:
And thanks to a friend's camera, I have some much better shots:
Some of my favorite moments of our weekend getaway included quality time with each of my boys, with no camera in sight. The photo album in my mind is filled with beautiful memories. But still. I want a better camera. Any suggestions?
