For those days when you need a theme song

Do you remember the episode from Ally McBeal when the therapist tells Ally she needs a theme song? I love that scene. And the dancing baby.

To me, music is like an emergency fund. When my day needs backup, I cue a theme song in my head to get me through. They've ranged from "Eye of the Tiger" to Rupaul's "Supermodel". Turn to the left. Now turn to the right.

The other day, I got a gift in the mail from Abby. It's a 2014 Lisa Weedn wall calendar called Feel the Love, and it's filled with uplifting illustrations and quotes. Here's January's quote:

"in this life we are all just walking up the mountain

and we can sing as we climb or we can complain about our sore feet

whichever we choose we still gotta do the hike

i decided a long time ago singing made a lot more sense"

What's your theme song for today?

If you can't think of one, you can borrow mine: "Searchin' My Soul" from Ally McBeal. (Because of course)
